Eat more pork! What's your fair share now?

Last fall, the amount owed on the national debt by each and every one of 300,000,000 American citizens was calculated at $37,667 per person.  Since that time, three or four thousand more has been added with bailouts.  With the latest 800,900 billion or trillion (just lots of zeros, I know), dollar plan, we can add another $3000-4000 to that amount.  Are your kids ready and prepared to write those checks for their "fair share"?  How many people in Scotland County would be able to write a $45,000 check today to pay their share of the national debt?   And it will be more tomorrow.

This is not only unworkable and unmanageable, it is complete insanity.  The U.S. national debt is now greater than our net worth, and our elected officials are burying us deeper in debt, leaving a crushing bill for our children to pay.  This whole premise and the current actions of Congress and the President are both immoral and unconstitutional.  It appears Washington is topheavy with economic arsonists, who started the fire and their solution is to add accelerants to it.  They seem determined not to stop until America as we have known it for over 200 years, is no longer recognizable.   With regard to the latest "stimulus" or better said, "Porkulus" bill, the only thing it will achieve is broadening the reach of government, at a steadily increasing pace into fascism and socialism.

I suppose that if you are Al Gore or one of his comrades who is highly invested in the "environmental business" and profiting from fear, lies, and other "man-made global warming" nonsense, you will stand to "gain" from the handouts.  If you're not paying taxes anyway, or if you are one of those drawing your pay from the bloated government bureaucracy, it appears that "this stimulus is for you".   A very large chunk of this merely goes to growing more government......which produces absolutely nothing!   For the rest of us, this will simply mean more of what our government currently does:  Tax, Spend, Waste.

Our government has taken upon itself the role of picking and choosing what failures and nonproductivity to reward, upon the the backs of the productive, tax-paying citizen.  And what will be the result?   A greater crop of failures and ultimately the destruction of society.   Far too many people today believe that "the government must do SOMETHING!" and that only government can solve our problems,(even if government created and has exacerbated them).

You can also be sure that the principles of and maintenance of freedom and liberty are inversely proportional to the growth of government.   In the name of "saving the country" from the mess that they have actually created, our Washington leaders are expanding a dependancy class who are only too willing to trade their freedom and their votes for a false sense of security through handouts and entitlements.  Jefferson must be rolling in his grave.  He feared this would happen.

Obama says "he" will "create" three million new jobs.  (actually I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what Obama has ever created, done, or accomplished, apart from running and getting elected).   Putting a pencil to that figure means it is going to cost a minimum of $275,000 for each single job "created" by government.  Realizing that, I decided I wanted to do my part and help out.  I wrote our Senators yesterday, saying they could just send me $275,000, and I promise to be doubly as efficient and effective as our mighty federal government.  I will create not one but TWO new jobs with that $275,000.  I'll do my part in getting the economy going and do it at least twice as well as government.    I haven't heard back but then I am not holding my breath or thinking that the check will be in the mail.
